Farmhouse description

Location: charming farmhouse with familiar atmosphere in a very panoramic site strategically located to visit the main touristic destinations of Tuscany and Umbria and the regions of the Chianti and Brunello wines.
The small hamlet was obtained by restructuring a typical Tuscan farm. It is immediately adjacent to a villa, which has been inhabited since 1520 by the proprietor’s family that receives and entertains guests as friends. The welcoming simplicity of their lifestyle dates back to a bygone age. The proprietors are always available to provide information about history of the family and site, restaurants, Italian fashion outlets, wineries and tourist attractions.
The farmhouse borders a small, medieval castle village and is situated on a hilltop between Siena (25 km or 15 miles) and Arezzo. At an altitude of 500 m (1600 ft), cool breezes keep the resort comfortable under the Tuscan sun. It boasts stunning views of the Chianti hills and the Ambra Valley.
From the farmhouse, it is approximately a 20 minute drive to Siena and about an hour to Florence, San Gimignano, Pienza, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia and Assisi.
More than 10 restaurants of various types are located within a 10 minutes drive. Good and convenient local food catering may arrive in your apartment.
Accommodation: the farmhouse consists of 8 apartments, with heating, totaling 16 double bedrooms. All the bedrooms have private bathrooms with shower and bidet. Each apartment features a spacious living room with well equipped kitchenette, dining table, satellite TV, wall safe and convertible sofa for two.
The brick floors, the ceiling with chestnut beams and the inviting furnishings are in keeping with the Tuscan character.
The apartments are rented on weekly basis from Saturday 4 pm to Saturday 10 pm and during the low and medium seasons, also daily with the minimum of 3 nights. The normal check-in is before 10 pm; however it can be delayed by contacting the farmhouse.
Amenities: each apartment has its private table for the outside dining. Guests have access to a large swimming pool (7 x 14 meters or 23 x 46 ft) that overlooks olive groves, vineyards and forested hills of the below valley.
Additional free facilities include covered parking, barbeque sets (firewood included), mountain bikes, satellite TV, safe in each apartment, games for adults and kids (tennis table, football table, darts, bowls etc.), wireless ADSL inside and outside the apartments, internet point, and international telephone calls by Skype (except towards mobile numbers). Washing machine is available at the price of 3 Euros each wash (including soap).
The woods around the farmhouse make for great hiking and mountain bike trips. The renowned spa of Rapolano, with its pools and beauty treatments, are just 15 km away. Horseback riding is 4 km away. Shops, tennis facilities, go-karting and fishing lake are all within a 15 km radius.
Hot air ballooning, the Chianti and Brunello wine regions, and Italian fashion “factory outlets” such as Prada, Armani, Gucci, Ferragamo etc. are within 40 km.

Jacopo apartment

The apartment, at the ground floor, has a surface of 47 square meters (or 500 square feet) with 2 + 2 sleeps. The entry is through a park-like setting with a lovely vista of the valley below, also enjoyed from the windows of the apartment. The unit consists of large living room, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower and bidet.
In the living room, there is a sofa bed for two, satellite TV, wall safe and a well equipped kitchenette with 4 fires and various electrical appliances including combined oven (microwaves, grill and normal oven). At the apartment entrance there is private space with table for outdoor dining.

Edoardo apartment

The apartment, at the 1st floor, has a surface of 47 square meters (or 500 square feet) with 2 + 3 sleeps. Stunning views of the valley below are enjoyed from all sides. The unit consists of large living room, bedroom with a double bed and bathroom with shower and bidet. The bedroom has ample space also for an extra bed.
In the living room, there is a sofa bed for two, satellite TV, wall safe and a well equipped kitchenette with 3 fires and various electrical appliance including dishwasher and combined oven (microwaves, grill and normal oven). In the below panoramic park, there is a private table for outdoor dining.

Filippo apartment

The apartment, at the ground floor, has a surface of 63 square meters (or 685 square feet) with 4 + 2 sleeps. It consists of large living room and two bedrooms with double bed; both have private bathroom with shower and bidet.
In the living room, there is a sofa bed for two, satellite TV, wall safe and a well equipped kitchenette with 4 fires and various electrical appliance including dishwasher and combined oven (microwaves, grill and normal oven).
The living room has a direct exit to the vineyard where the swimming pool is located. Next this exit there is a private covered terrace suitable for outside dining.

Pietro apartment

The surface of the apartment is 68 square meters or 730 square feet with 4 + 2 sleeps.
The unit, located at the ground level, consists of a large living room and 2 bedrooms both have bathrooms with shower and bidet. In the living room there is a well equipped kitchenette, a dining table, satellite TV, wall safe and a sofa bed for two.
One bedroom with a double bed and a second with twins that can be combined into a double. Near the entry of the apartment, in the adjacent vineyard, there is a private covered area suitable for outdoor dining.

Tommaso apartment

The apartment, at the 1st floor, has a surface of 76 square meters (or 820 square feet) with 4 + 4 sleeps. Beautiful views may be enjoyed from the windows. The unit consists of a large living room and two bedrooms both have bathrooms with shower and bidet.
In the living room, there is a sofa bed for two, satellite TV, wall safe and a well equipped kitchenette with 3 fires and various electrical appliances including dishwasher and combined oven (microwaves, grill and normal oven).
One bedroom has a double bed and a second twin beds. The two bedrooms have the space for an extra bed. Outside there is a private gazebo for outdoor dining.

Giovanni apartment

The entrance is at ground floor and the surface of the apartment is 105 square meters (or 1130 square feet) with 6 + 3 sleeps. Tri-level apartment with entry through an arcade. At the mezzanine level, where it was an ancient kitchen, there is a large room with a sofa bed for two, chairs and table.
At the ground level there is a large living room with satellite TV, wall safe and a well equipped kitchenette with 3 fires, various electrical appliances including dishwasher and combined oven (microwaves, grill and normal oven).
At the ground level there is also a large bathroom, with shower and bidet, having the inlet through a corridor and thus it can be easily used also by the people of the mezzanine room.
At a lower level, there is a double bedroom with private bathroom having shower and bidet. Each of the 3 bedrooms has the space for an extra bed. From the living room, one can exit directly to a lovely outside covered patio suitable for outdoor dining.

Caterina apartment

The surface of the apartment is 77 square meters or 830 square feet with 6 + 2 sleeps.
The apartment is located at 1st flour and is entered by a lovely travertine stairway. The unit consists of a large living room and 3 bedrooms; all have bathrooms with shower and bidet. In the living room there is a well equipped kitchenette, a dining table, satellite TV, wall safe and a sofa bed for two.
One bedroom with a double bed, a second with twins that can be combined into a double bed and a third bedroom with a bunk bed (two beds one over the other). Outside there is a private table for “al fresco” dining.

Sofia apartment

The apartment, at the 1st floor, has a surface of 90 square meters (or 970 square feet) with 6 + 4 sleeps. The windows of the living room boast a breath taking panorama. The unit consists of large living room and three bedrooms all have bathrooms with shower and bidet.
In the living room, there is a sofa bed for two, satellite TV, wall safe and a well equipped kitchenette with 4 fires and various electrical appliance including dishwasher and combined oven (microwaves, grill and normal oven).
Two bedrooms have a double bed and the third has twin beds. Two bedrooms have the space for an extra bed. Outside there is a private table for outdoor dining.

Cottage Laura

The cottage, with an area of 53 square meters (570 square feet), is outside of the farm in the middle of a field of olive trees but away from the pool of the farmhouse only 150 meters (3 - 4 minutes of pleasant walk).
At the ground floor, there is the living room, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom.
The living room has cooking corner, satellite TV and wall safe. The kitchenette is well equipped with 4 burners, various appliances including combined oven (microwave, grill and normal cooking) and also dishwasher.
The bedroom has twin beds that can be joined to form a double bed. In the bathroom, beside the shower and bidet, there's a washing machine.
At the upper floor, reached by a staircase (not recommended for elderly and children under 6 years) there is a nice attic room that can comfortably contain 1 single bed and 1 chair-bed.
The building has both air conditioning and heating. Outside, there is a gazebo for outdoor dining, a barbecue, deck chairs and space for parking.
