Apartment description
Position: a well equipped, two-level attic apartment of a small villa into the "Promontory of Castiglioncello". The Promontory is the historic heart of Castiglioncello.
The Medicea Tower was the first building to be constructed by Cosimo I of the Medici and to be used as an outlook and defense point from the Saracen pirates.
In 1621 the Church Sant'Andrea was built facing the tower.
The Promontory is surrounded on one side by the Bay "del Quercetano" and on the other side by a long sea promenade (with beaches and rocks) which leads from the Righini Point to the "Cala dei Medici" harbour of Rosignano Solvay.
Our small villa is about 150 metres from the sea and also from the Medicea Tower, the Castiglioncello pinewoods, the central Square, the railway station and the Pasquini Castle (19th century), that used nowadays for conventions and literary awards.
Description: the apartment is a studio with a loft. The two spaces are communicating. The beds are 3 with the possibility of adding 2 more beds, up to a maximum of 5. The cost of extra bed is € 35 for one; € 60 for two places.
On the first level: there are the entrance to a small kitchen, a sitting/dining room with a bed settee, TV, DVD, terrace with table, chairs and easy chair.
On the second floor: there are two communicating bedrooms, one with a single bed, the other with a doublebed plus bathroom with shower.
Internet access points (wireless) are to be found upstairs as well as downstairs.
Internal car parking facility is available during the traffic control period (from 1 July to 31 August) and on-street for the rest of the year.
