Tuscany Poppi: Accommodation in Apartments in Farmhouse

Farmhouse description

Location: the farmhouse, 550 metres above sea level, is immersed in this world of ancient civilization and natural beauty, amid sunflower and wheat fields.
It is located at Poppi, at the gateway to the National Park of the Casentino, Mount Falterona and Campigna Forest, in a beautiful panoramic position, overlooking the splendid valley and particularly the famous Castle of the Conti Guidi.
Description: the building, an old farmhouse skilfully restructured, is divided into nine apartments, all complete with simple but refined period furniture.
Composition: the nine apartments have self-contained heating, a television and separate telephone. The living room has a kitchen area with fridge, dishwasher and air-extractor hood. Each bathroom has a shower booth.
All the bedrooms and part of the living-rooms are furnished with ancient original furniture. Included: water, electricity, gas (water and cooking) all flat linen weekly changed.
Services: in the building there are a wash machine-room (at payment) and a common-room (mq.66). A second common room is situated in a little house at north of the building.
We also offer our guests parking a large garden with swimming-pool (16 x 8 m.), bowls pitch, a barbecue a wood fire oven, children park and two common rooms, each with a large stone fireplace.
Since the second half of June 2008 it will be available a whirlpool Jacuzzi for 5 people.
Farm: in a reserved zone of our farm you can find a little production of “cinta senese” (a rare breed) pigs living in the forest, then worked in delicious cured pork meats ( Casentino’ ham, salami, bacon …).
Moreover extra-virgin olive oil for tasting, season fruits and vegetables no chemically treated.
Activities: guests can also hire mountain-bike at the farm. In the immediate surroundings of the farmhouse there is riding-school, offering special terms for riding in the forest of National Park, and a nine-hole golf course; tennis and bowling.
In every village in our valley it is still possible to savour the traditional dishes of Casentino cooking.

Il Leccio and Il Cipresso apartments

Il Leccio apartment: the apartment (4+2 persons, mq. 86) is at ground directly on the garden. Living-room with kitchen all furnished (gas, electrical plat, air extractor hood, dishwasher fridge, coffee machine, toaster, microwave oven at requested, mixer, total crockery, big table with chairs), double bed-sofa, satellite TV, direct phone, private heating, reading lamp, wardrobe.
There are two bedrooms:

• One double room has a big bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, three little bedside tables, a carpet.
• The other double room has a big bed or two single beds, a chest of drawers, two bedside tables, a carpet.

• Double room with two single beds, a bedside table, carpets, a little armchair, panoramic view on the swimming pool.
• Double room with big bed, ward robe, chest of drawers with two mirrors two bedside table, carpets, panoramic view on Casentino’s Valley.

Il Frassino and La Quercia apartments

Il Frassino apartment: the apartment (4+2 persons, mq.76) is at the first floor with outside stairs, private entrance.
Big living-room with kitchen with double bed-sofa, armchair, satellite TV, direct phone, private heating, two little reading tables, old glass furniture, carpet.
There are two bedrooms:

• Double bedroom has big bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror, two bedside tables, carpets. Panoramic view on Casentino’ Valley.
• Double bedroom has big bed or two single beds, chest of drawers, two bedside table, carpets, little old armchairs. Panoramic view on Casentino’ Valley. One bathroom.
  La Quercia apartment: the apartment (4+2 persons, mq. 92) is on two floors; outside stairs, arcade with three flats’ entrance. Hall with wardrobe, living-room with kitchen with double bed-sofa, satellite TV, direct phone, private heating, glass furniture, two windows.
  There are two bedrooms:
  • Double room (at first floor) with big bed or two single beds with a bedside table, a little old armchair, carpet.
  • Double room (at second floor) with big bed with ancient sofa, wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror, two bedside tables, carpets a little room for packages and cases, two windows.
  Bathroom with sanitary equipment (shower box) and window. Under the private wood stairs, cleaning equipment. Outside: private space near the out stairs with table, chairs and umbrella.

  Il Ciliegio and Il Noce apartments

  Two bedrooms:

  • Double room (at second floor). Big bed or two single bed, three bedside tables, chest of drawers, carpets, a private solarium on the roof.

  Il Noce apartment: the apartment (4+2 persons, mq. 71) is at the second floor. Stairs, communion equipped terrace with panoramic view on Casentino Valley.
