Farmhouse description

Location: the farmhouse is an ideal place for relaxing both mind and body, yet with its location in central Tuscany and easy access to main roads (only 4km from the autostrada A11) it is also ideal for those who want to explore further afield in Tuscany.
In just a moment, you can depart this oasis of green for the open roads that lead from the autostrada exit at Montecatini Terme.
The small farm (70 acres) of vineyards and olive groves is situated on the sunny slopes of Montalbano in the Valdinievole Valley.
Today the farm is occupied and managed by its current owners .
Description: several of our rooms for tourists are situated in the former farmstead, which dates back to the 18th century.
The main house serves as the current family home, whilst the part where the farm workers used to live has been recently restored.
This accommodation can be rented flexibly to suit your needs, either as individual rooms, the whole apartment (VILLA), or part of the apartment.
Each of the 6 guest rooms has a distinctive colour scheme with matching furnishings.
We offer B&B with a buffet breakfast served outside in the garden, or half board, with the evening meal prepared with local or our own farm produce when possible.

Interiors on the ground floor

Composition the ground floor consists of an entrance with a bathroom available to all guests, the dining room, the professional kitchen with pantry, the Arancione room wit en suite bathroom
Arancione room: this large room, with a private shower bathroom, is the only one on the ground floor.
It was originally the Kitchen and it has been restored with an old stone sink, the original cotto floor and a fireplace.

Interiors on the first floor

Composition: an independent entrance from the yard leads to the original farm house apartment at the first floorand to gialla and blu rooms.
From the fron entrance at ground floor you can enter to the Rossa room with private bathroom.
Blu and Gialla rooms: the rooms have a shared bathroom with a half bath; the floor is original and dates back to the beginning of XX th century.
The Gialla room is a double (or 3) room, window looking out on to the North side on the yard.
The Blue room is a triple room (2+1).
Window on the south side.
Both rooms can communicate with the apartment.
Rossa room: this original room is on the first floor with private shower bathroom, has red beams and an old cherry wood wardrobe.
Double bed 14 mq, window and entrance on the south side.
You can separatly rent the 3 rooms.
When you rent the apartement for 4 people this is the kitchen, and the rooms are second floor (rosa and verde).

Interiors on the second floor

Composition: on the second floor there are 2 bedrooms and toilet.
Verde room: this is another attic room with beams.
It also can used as a double or triple room, with a window looking out on to the South side.
Rosa room: this is an attic room with beams and original cotto floor.
It can be used as a double or triple room, with a window looking out on to the North side on the yard.
If you rent the apartement for 4 people these are the rooms.

Products

Close by, there are also a farm shop and the cellars.
The cellar used for ageing wine was refurbished with new oak barrels at the end of 2005.
The owners' first passion was to restore the old farmhouse, but in doing so they discovered a new love for everything to do with the culture of the vine.Starting with a vineyard of 2.5 hectares planted in 1976, they perfected the art of making, ageing, and bottling wine. The year 2001 saw the planting of three new vineyards.Today we produce traditional Chianti wine, white and rose doc wine, and the Tuscan Vin Santo, dessert wine made with dried grapes.We also produce a fruity extra-virgin olive oil with 2000 plants. We are open every afternoon from Tuesday till Saturday.

Activities

Wine and olive oil tasting of are available on demand and the owners are happy to share their knowledge of their home produced products.
Just above the vineyards is a little lake and a pool with a beautiful view of the valdinievole valley, where guests can walk or relax and picnic.
We offer also fly fishing, archery, table tennis and shiatsu massage.
We are located just 2km from the world-famous "Grotta Giusti", which offers a range of invigorating and revitalising-massage and other natural health treatments around its natural hot spring (the spa offers reduced prices for our guests).
We organize cooking classes, painting courses, daily-guided tours all over Tuscany.
The house is surrounded with beautiful gardens where you can simply relax and enjoy the countryside. GUIDED WINE TASTING
Guided visit to the farm and vineyards and to the cellar (winemaking, oil making processes explained). Guided wine tasting of the farm wines accompanied by different Tuscan dishes depending on wine. Booking essential. Minimum 10 max 60 people
LESSONS IN TUSCAN COOKING
Preparing 3 courses and a dessert in the Tuscan tradition, 4-5 hours of active participation followed by the meal you helped to prepare.
