The farm holidays was born in December 2002 from an old farmhouse, that dates back to the 19th century and that has been carefully renovated respecting the traditional architectural forms and building materials. We now offer 3 comfortable self catering apartments perfect for holidays in the peaceful Tuscany countryside.
We are able organize trekking, horse riding in a nearby riding ground, guided tours within the “Parco Città del Tufo”, and visits to the Etruscan necropolis and paths.
This area of Tuscany is important for its Etruscan legacy, and nearby towns that you can visit to see this amazing heritage are Sorano, Pitigliano and Saturnia – all important Etruscan and medieval centres.Here you can enjoy the peace, in contact with nature, on a veritable farm holiday, where agriculture is still uncontaminated and carried out as it has been for centuries.

Apartments

The interior is divided into three mini-apartments called: “Il Forno” (“The Bakery”), “Stanza dei Sogni” (“The Room of dreams”) and “Il Granaio” (“The Barn”). “Il Forno” occupies two floors joined by a winding staircase. It has a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
“La Stanza dei Sogni” is situated on one level and consists of a spacious living room, a bedroom, a large bathroom and kitchen.
“Il Granaio” apartment is similar to the “Stanza dei Sogni”, but it has an en suite bathroom in the bedroom.The furniture in the apartments is in the classic Tuscan povera arte style, beautiful for its simplicity. The kitchens have travertine stone benches and tiled walls. Outside there is a large garden with typical Mediterrean plants, comfortable benches to sunbathe, and a large area for parking.

Apartment Il Granaio

THE BARN’ APARTMENT
Around 30 years ago wheat, barley and animal fodder was dragged up the stone stairway and stored in sacks on the upper floor. This was incredibly hard work but necessary since at the time there was no other dry place to keep the grain which fed the family and the animals. To enter the apartment you climb the original travertine marble stairs, now sanded and enhanced by a wrought-iron handrail. Certain areas of the wall have been left un-plastered revealing the old wall of large tufa stone blocks. In the living room there are country style furnishings and stonework arches.
From the large window there are beautiful views of the garden below and the distant woods. There are two bathrooms for your convenience, one in the bedroom and the other next to the kitchen. In the living room there is a double sofa bed with orthopaedic mattress and wooden slats. The apartment is ideal for 4 people.

Apartment Il Forno

THE OLD BAKERY’ APARTMENT
This name derives from the fact that in the past, this space was the bakery for the inhabitants of surrounding area who all came to bake their bread, roasts and cakes here for the festivities such as harvesting and threshing, grape picking and many other occasions. The apartment is on two floors linked by a spiral stone stairway with a wrought-iron handrail. On the ground floor there is an inbuilt stonework kitchen and an old walnut table. Upstairs there is a restored double bed from the early 1900s. The window overlooks the garden and the distant vineyard. The bathroom is fully equipped with all services. The apartment is ideal for singles or couples.

Apartment La Stanza dei Sogni

THE “ROOM OF DREAMS” APARTMENT:
(LA STANZA DEI SOGNI)
This apartment offers a well-equipped kitchen, with cooking facilities built in stonework and work surfaces in travertine marble. There is a large bathroom with special fittings that echo the style and atmosphere of the past, a spacious bedroom with a double wrought-iron bed and a French windows looking on to the garden. Ideal for a couple plus 2. Originally this apartment did not belong to the property but was owned by two old friends who used it as storage space. Eventually we acquired the rooms and have carried out the restoration as can be seen in the photograph.

Dispensa apartment

The apartment has a spacious kitchen, a bathroom with window and a double bedroom overlooking the garden. Ideal for two, with the possibility of additional single bed.
